AK K9 Security Services Ltd (“we” “us”) is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. We provide security services across London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

What we collect, and why
We only collect what you choose to send us. There is no account system on this site and we do not ask for payment details.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have contacted a business asking for a quote, and replying to you is the obvious expected outcome. You can object to this at any time and we will stop.
How your enquiry reaches us
When you submit the contact form, the information is sent by email to our own address using our email provider's SMTP service. It is not stored in a database on this website, and it is not shared with any advertising or data-broker service.
We apply basic rate limiting to the form to prevent abuse. This involves temporarily noting the IP address a submission came from, in memory only, and it is discarded shortly afterwards.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work: kept for up to 12 months, then deleted, so we have context if you come back to us.
- Enquiries that become contracted work: retained for the length of the contract and for 6 years afterwards, to meet our accounting and insurance obligations.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or rent personal information. It is shared only with:
- our email and hosting providers, who process it on our instructions in order to deliver and store our mail;
- professional advisers or insurers, where we are required to disclose something in connection with a claim;
- law enforcement or a regulator, where we are legally obliged to.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled on this site, it is Google Analytics, used only to understand which pages people find useful. See our Cookie Policy for what that sets and how to refuse it. Analytics does not run until you accept cookies.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete it, where we have no ongoing need to keep it;
- object to our processing, or ask us to restrict it;
- ask us to transfer it to another provider.

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
